Why did you choose College Prep? I wanted a small school that was going to challenge me academically and personally. When I visited, I loved how kind and engaged the students were here. 

 

What is the biggest difference between middle school and high school? In comparison, my middle school was very academically easy. This school definitely challenges you…on the daily. It can get stressful at times, but there are many resources at the school that can really help out.

 

What advice would you give to 8th graders applying to high school? Make sure a school seems like it would be absolutely right for YOU. Don’t base your decision or considerations off of what others have said, the reputation of the school, and what you THINK you can handle. Be honest with yourself this will be your life for the next four years.

 

What is your favorite place on campus? I can't decide! I love our counselor’s office because she’s a life saver, my English classroom because it’s warm and always a fun time, and the upper lawn by the sculpture because it’s peaceful.

What are you involved in on campus? I'm part of the dance program, breakfast club, admissions ambassador program, and the Black Student Union.

 

What has been your favorite class so far? Atlantic worlds, because my teacher Dr. Allen is really engaging and sweet. It's also a really interesting class and I learn a lot every class. I also really love the curriculum and how it’s taught, it works really well for my learning style. I feel engaged without feeling too overworked.

 

What is your favorite thing about College Prep? The community. The teachers, staff, faculty, students, and parents all work together to make a harmonious environment. You could talk to pretty much anyone and you’d be met with kindness.

 

What is your favorite character from a movie/book/television series? Harley Quin and Joker.
