We believe that learning is a joyful, collaborative, and creative process. Each week on Friday mornings, students and faculty gather to share ideas, passions, and skills with each other during Common Classroom. It is a designated time for inclusive, ungraded, and exploratory learning and community building.
The Common Classroom offerings rotate weekly. Teachers, students, and alumni lead activities, classes, and workshops across a range of ever-changing offerings that include art projects, political discussions, physical pursuits, and more. Students are encouraged to try new things, meet new people in the community, and host their own Common Classroom on a topic they are passionate about! Showing up for one another as engaged leaders and participants builds the active, dynamic, diverse learning opportunities that are at core of the Common Classroom.
