Why did you choose College Prep? I knew that College Prep would be academically challenging and that I would be surrounded by interesting people. I was really excited about the many opportunities (classes, clubs, sports) and thought the campus was amazing.

What is the biggest difference between middle school and high school? I’ve had to learn how to manage my time in high school. In middle school, I didn't really have to worry about having enough time to complete my homework and attend my extracurriculars. Now, procrastination can impact every activity and class I have. Having good time management skills has been key to having a great experience at College Prep.

What advice would you give to eighth graders applying to high school? Try to step outside of your comfort zone and keep an open mind. Remember, you're not the same person you were when you entered middle school and you won't be the same person you are when you exit high school. Keep that in mind and try not to fixate on one school (or type of school) or an idealized version of what high school should be.

What is your favorite place on campus (and why)? I like the tables near the language building at the top of campus. It’s nice and quiet under the trees, and you can see the entire campus from that vantage.

Campus Involvement: I’m on the Cross Country and Track and Field teams, I do public forum debate, and I’m a member of JSU and CATfood.

What has been your favorite class so far (and why)? My favorite class so far is Asian Worlds. I appreciated how much content we covered about a part of the world I previously knew very little about.

What is your favorite character from a movie/book/television series? Anakin Skywalker. He's just really cool.

Three unusual things about me:
1. I have 6 food allergies
2. I like to take photos
3. I'm ambidextrous
